![]() AMD is making the FX-6300 on a 32 nm production. ![]() ![]() FX-6300 has 8 MB of 元 cache and operates at 3.5 GHz by default, but can boost up to 4.1 GHz, depending on the workload. It is part of the FX lineup, using the Vishera architecture with Socket AM3+. If you sufficient cooling, I'd suggest just disabling turbo then overclocking your processor to it's turbo frequency (4.1 ish ghz) leaving your voltages at stock and seeing if it's stable in prime95 with acceptable temperatures then work your way up or down from there. The AMD FX-6300 was a desktop processor with 6 cores, launched in October 2012, at an MSRP of 132. If you wish to overclock, Linus has a guide on overclocking a FX-8150, which would be similar to your 6300. People will probably want to know your temperatures under load, so a program like hardware monitor while you play your game will give you a maximum temperature, Otherwise use something like prime95 + any temperature monitoring software to see what kind of temperatures your cpu is getting under load watching CPU-Z will let you know if your frequency dips under load, indicating throttling. It's entirely possible that your processor is throttling because of the processor or the mosfets on the motherboard over heating, so it's probably a good idea to set your processor back to it's defaults and disable overdrive. The FX-series processors are known for kicking out allot of heat, and AMD Overdrive can use way more voltage than it should when overclocking. While other people argue about how good or bad AMD processors are, I'd either blame it on Battle Field 4 being buggy or check your temperatures.
